Dr. Bob Sutor published a chart of “over 100 companies developing software for quantum code development and runtime execution.” Since I’ve played with 200+ products, I’m curious what percentage of his list I’ve covered and which, if any, I’ve missed. Prof. Chris Ferrie was interviewed for the “Wish You Were Beer Show.” I’ve actually said before that I’d like to see more alcohol in quantum, both to make panels a little more confrontational and to boost the honesty of presenters and panelists who are notoriously honesty-challenged. (This is NOT a critique of Prof. Ferrie, by the way.)

Yuval Boger’s insights into Q+AI 2.0 are interesting, although I don’t limit mentoring sessions to early-stage careers or career crossroads. There’s always more to learn from someone, especially in this field: formal education, career paths, entrepreneurship, and more. This link might require a LinkedIn account.

What’s a “cluster”? Oak Ridge National Laboratory has installed the presumably-first on-premises commercial quantum computer cluster, consisting of 3 quantum dragons... I mean computers... from Quantum Brilliance, and that could mean a few different things. So, I asked for clarification.

Alan Ho and Prof. Michael Biercuk inspired the Resuscitated Quantum Bullshit Detector, but the original(?) has resurfaced on Bluesky. It’s back to reposting a simple “bullshit” or “not bullshit,” so The Quantum Dragon will continue to monitor for challenges, controversies, and debates under this new name from Dr. Bob Sutor.

• There’s a little back-and-forth on LinkedIn between the poster Joab Rosenberg, Prof. Michael Biercuk, and Ramon Szmuk about physical-to-logical qubit ratios, logical error rates, and misleading statements about computing power.
