Qunova is going into production.
An investor is putting its money where its mouth is.
Inside Quantum Technology published The Quantum J.A.R.V.I.S. on October 29, 2024. I republished it, with permission, as Qunova's Quantum J.A.R.V.I.S. on March 26, 2025. The executive summary is that Qunova’s Handover Iteration Variational Quantum Eigensolver (HI-VQE) converts classically hard problems into classically tractable problems, which classical solvers can then solve with chemical accuracy. Please click on either link for more information, because that’s the extent I’ll get into the algorithm here.
Anyway, Qunova just announced that it has raised $10M in a Series A investment round from GS Ventures, Korea Development Bank, GU Equity Partners, Company K, Quantum Ventures Korea, JB Investment, CKD Venture Capital, and Daesung Private Equity, and a very important factoid might be getting lost in the press release. GS Group is not going to be exploring use cases with HI-VQE the same way everyone always explores various algorithms for their respective use cases. Instead, GS Group believes enough in HI-VQE not only to invest in Qunova, but also to put HI-VQE into production everywhere it can.
In other words, we’re not talking about theoretical or laboratory experimental advantages here. GS Group is going to be putting its money where its proverbial mouth is and demonstrate HI-VQE on its actual business operations.
Now that the algorithm might have a little more of your attention, I’ll repeat the links to The Quantum J.A.R.V.I.S. and Qunova's Quantum J.A.R.V.I.S. for your convenience.
