The federal deadlines will cascade into supply chain requirements.

Following the White House’s executive orders on quantum, Vijay Viswanathan, Vice President of Product at ISARA, commented:
President Trump signed two executive orders this week, marking the most direct federal commitment to quantum computing in U.S. history. This is a clear signal that quantum is no longer just a research curiosity—it is now in the same strategic tier as AI and semiconductors. By issuing twin orders simultaneously, the administration is addressing quantum through a dual lens: as an engine for economic competitiveness and a critical national security priority.
The federal deadlines (2030–2031) will also cascade into supply chain requirements: companies that serve as government contractors or handle federal data will need to certify PQC compliance. Organizations that delay will face a double whammy: severe regulatory pressure and the compounding technical debt of migrating legacy encryption under tight deadlines. Beginning the transition now is vastly easier than playing catch-up later.
