Quantum Fiery Voices: Jensen Huang
For Aiding and Abetting The Quantum Dragon's Relentless Assault
Quantum is way too interesting for anything written about it to be boring, and yet The Quantum Dragon struggles each week to find non-boring content. I thought NVIDIA’s quantum panels were going to be boring—a handful of folks presenting their respective company’s biases—but the first panel—the only one I’ve found online—had a few real zingers in it. Jensen Huang invited them to his stage under the guise of “explain why I was wrong,” and then he effortlessly scorched the whole industry.
The following aren’t just links to videos, but hopefully to the relevant timestamps in each respective video:
Many people got all bent out of shape at the notion of quantum computers being useful in 15 years, then they spun his opening remarks into an “apology” that I didn’t hear. He opened up the possibility that he was wrong, and he invited his panelists to prove that he was wrong, but the panel I listened to 1) did not prove him wrong, and 2) let him downgrade quantum computers to quantum instruments right to their faces.
For these three comments from just one panel, The Quantum Dragon recognizes Jensen Huang as one of his Quantum Fiery Voices.
